Hope Soccer is a free program that focuses on providing children with mental disabilities and mild physical limitations an opportunity to play soccer. The goal is to create a fun, safe and fair environment for children who have limited access to participation in community or organized sports teams due to their disability.
The children will be coached by a group of volunteers, all of whom are experienced and knowledgeable on the game of soccer. Volunteers along with Coach Martin will determine fair teams based on the concept of semi-competitive play. They will also modify practices and scrimmages accordingly
to ensure that everyone is accommodated for.
Fútbol 4 All is a program for children from low-income families with an interest in improving educational outcomes. Fútbol 4 All’s goal is to promote and teach the benefits of education, health, and sports with all the participants’ families while improve academic performance and outcomes in school through tutoring and guidance. We want to give children the opportunity to play at a competitive level, developing a league if they wish to do so. Our programs will concentrate on schools with 50% or more of students qualifying for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
Hope Community focuses on providing soccer clinics within various communities and community centers around the Triangle. Hope Community will go where the students are, making it easier for them to participate in our programs. Hope Community will also offer an alternative to other programs in the community where students often need transportation to those facilities in order to participate.
